Iniva is delighted to announce its participation in London Art Fair 2017 within the acclaimed Art Projects section and as a fair partner in two public talks and tours:
Art Projects. Stand P24: Sutapa Biswas, Mary Evans, Joy Gregory, Marine Lewis, Sinta Tantra, Teija Williams
Iniva’s 2017 Art Project stand will exhibit a group of six women artists. Three established artists Sutapa Biswas, Mary Evans and Joy Gregory, have selected three early-career artists who will exhibit alongside them; Sinta Tantra, Marine Lewis and Teija Williams, creating an inter-generational dialogue, pointing towards overlapping and fresh perspectives at the intersection of race, gender and politics. This thematic presentation will be developed within the talks programme (see more below).
Iniva has a significant history of working with women artists at different moments in their careers and our Art Projects stand will introduce emerging and unseen talent as well as artists established within the context of British contemporary art, widening the current critical debate around the representation of women artists. The stand is curated by Iniva Director Melanie Keen in dialogue with the artists.

Thursday 19 Jan, 14.30 – 15.30.
Speakers: Artists Joy Gregory, Sutapa Biswas, Mary Evans, Marine Lewis & Sinta Tantra in conversation. Chaired by Althea Greenan, Curator of Women’s Art Library at Goldsmiths University.
Intergenerational discussion between artists, presented by Iniva’s Art Projects stand, offering overlapping perspectives at the intersection of race, gender and politics.

Speakers: Eliza Gluckman, Curator Day+Gluckman and New Hall Art Collection, University of Cambridge, Nadja Romain, journalist, curator and special advisor to the Women for Women International and Stella Bottai Programme curator at the Stanley Picker Gallery. Chaired by Melanie Keen, Director, Iniva.
