Demonstration workshop for personal and professional development

    Iniva

  • Time

    6-7.30pm

  • Admission

Following the popularity of our first workshop we have scheduled two further dates: Thursday 12 June and Saturday 21 June 2014. The workshops will be run at Iniva, Rivington Place, London EC2A 3BA by a creative therapist from A Space, Hackney with many years experience working in the field. Different approaches to using our Emotional Learning cards with people of all ages will be explored. The workshops are open to all adults and will consider ways to open-up conversation and creative thinking as well as inspiring art-making.

Emotional Learning Cards are used all over the world by teachers, art therapists, counsellors, parents, artists and gallery educators. They feature images of international contemporary art together with questions and suggestions for activity and discussion. They are a fantastic means through which to open up important personal and social conversations with young people but can equally be used as a simple and refreshing introduction to contemporary art.

‘How do we live well with others?’ is the latest emotional learning resource in our series. A Space will be using examples from this set to open-up conversation, creative thinking as well as inspiring art-making.

Places are limited so early booking via Eventbrite (see below) is advised.
