About

Hans Ulrich Obrist curator and art critic was born in Switzerland, and currently lives and works in Paris. In 1993, he founded the migratory Museum Robert Walser and led the Migrateurs program at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris where he served as a curator for contemporary art. He presently serves as the Co-Director of Exhibitions and Programmes and Director of International Projects at the Serpentine Gallery, Kensington Gardens, in London.

Additionally, he edited the writings of Gerhard Richter, Louise Bourgeois, Gilbert and George, Maria Lassnig and Leon Golub and is the editor of a series of artist books published by Walther Koenig including books by John Baldessari, Christian Boltanski, Peter Fischli/ David Weiss, Douglas Gordon, Philippe Parreno, and Anri Sala.
