The Stuart Hall Library is open to everyone, offers space for research and study and a rich artistic programme of events for a range of ages. There is also a photocopier and wireless internet access.
Prior to your visit, register online as a library member to access to our collections and services. Library membership is free for all.
The Stuart Hall Library is open Tuesday- Friday 10am – 5pm and Saturday 10am – 4pm.
The Stuart Hall Library occasionally runs reading groups, workshops, screenings and group visits. This is in addition to our regular Research Network programme of evening events such as conservation with artists, performance lectures and talks. A new Saturday programme of reading groups is being developed.
The Stuart Hall aims to provide an accessible environment for all of our library members. We ask that you contact the library ahead of your visit with any questions regarding specific requirements or adjustments that we can make.
There is an accessible toilet on first floor of the building which can be reached using the accessible lift near the entrance. Another accessible toilet is located on ground floor of the adjacent building.
Guides and assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome in the building.
Prams and pushchairs
Prams and pushchairs may be stored in the library. Please note all items are left at the owner’s risk.
Library members who consider themselves frail or have difficulty walking should make themselves known to the security staff or library staff.
