Focusing on British artists past and present, the Landscape and Portraiture Education Packs explore various overlapping themes, which introduce teachers and students to the work of contemporary British artists from different cultural backgrounds.

A tradition of portraiture is traced from the sixteenth century to the present day addressing issues of masking and constructions of 'self' and 'other' through the works of Hogarth and contemporary artists such as Faisal Abdu'Allah and Chila Kumari Burman.

These packs are for secondary schools and contain colour slides, teachers' notes and worksheets for students which relate to the National Curriculum for Art and Key Stages 3 and 4.

Artists include: Nicholas Hilliard, Sutapa Biswas, Thomas Gainsborough, Karen Knorr, Tam Joseph, David Lewis, Keith Piper, Faisal Abdu'Allah, Francis Wheatley, Virginia Nimarkoh, Mitra Tabrizian, Joshua Reynolds, Zarina Bhimji, John Singer Sargent, Francis Bacon, Lesley Sanderson, Peter Blake, Mark Quinn, Bill Woodrow, Chila Kumari Burman, Sonia Boyce, William Hogarth, Rita Keegan
