Love Cuba? Love Music? Join us for an evening of music and conversation.

Explore contemporary Cuban music and an audio experience provided by the Cuban artists in the Time Out recommended States of Exchange exhibition. The artists have contributed playlists of their favourite music which will be incorporated into the DJ sets throughout the evening.

The evening’s highlights include:

  • Conversation led by Pablo Herrera from Rice & Peas on the latest in Cuban music. Pablo has a MSc in Sound Design (2006) and is currently a MDes/PhD student at the Edinburgh College of Art. With support from the British Council, Pablo is currently devising an urban music exchange programme between the UK and Cuba.
  • Music mixed by Movimientos. Don’t miss this DJ set by one of London’s most exciting and respected Latin music purveyors. Frequently recommended by Time Out, Movimientos are known to pack in the crowds and have generated a following of Latin music aficionados, documentary film buffs and politically conscious groups and individuals.
  • The Wall of Exchange. Share with like-minded people your stories about love and music.
