Progress Reports: art in an era of diversity

Falafel Road Residency

13 Feb 2010

Join Oreet Ashery and Larissa Sansour to explore manifestations of the falafel as a Diasporic food

Oreet Ashery and Larissa Sansour’s Falafel Road Residency explores manifestations of the falafel as a diasporic food that has been assimilated into London’s rich food culture, and as a well contested national symbol in the Near East.  As well as invited artists’ presentations on the many different ways in which artists work with food as a political site and context, you are invited to bring along a memory or an observation of how food has a political and/or cultural resonance for you.

Oreet Ashery and Larissa Sansour are exhibiting artists in Progress Reports: art in an era of diversity. They are also showing a series of films in Cafe Lati Ri to do with the project.
