International artists Sonia Boyce, Isaac Julien, Glenn Ligon, Hew Locke, Carrie Mae Weems and Chris Ofili have all created new works, to feature in a set of 50 limited edition Rivington Place Portfolios. The collection, to be launched in January 2007 at twin events in New York and London, will raise funds for inIVA & Autograph ABP's new arts venue Rivington Place, currently under construction in London.

The portfolio will be available to view by appointment at the Victoria Miro Gallery from 23 to 30 January and launched on 31 January 2007. Sonia Boyce has created an etching; Glenn Ligon, a photo engraving and litho; Hew Locke's The Prize is assembled from images printed digitally; Chris Ofili has produced a relief print; Carrie Mae Weems' and Isaac Julien's images are photographic. The collection is available to buy in a plexiglas case ‘portfolio box' enclosing Hew Locke's three dimensional silk screen/digital construction, which doubles as a frame that can be hung on the wall.

All of the artists involved have worked to a greater or lesser degree with printmaking techniques before coming to the Rivington Place Portfolios. However, most are recognised for their work in other media, so this portfolio becomes all the more exciting in representing a rare opportunity to see their ideas transformed by the possibilities of print.

The 15,000 sq foot building designed by David Adjaye will be opening in October 2007.
