The Stuart Hall Library is hosting an evening of presentations and discussions to launch the current issue of Race Revolt zine. Race Revolt compiles a range of contributions focusing on race, ethnicity, and identity in queer, feminist, and diy subcultures. The zine began in 2007 ‘as an intervention into the silences around race in queer, feminist and activist communities' and has recently published its 5th issue.
The event will invite the zine's editor Humaira Saeed and fellow contributors to elaborate on the issue's themes. Attendees are invited to take part in the discussions and engage with content of the zine.
Race Revolt is a welcome addition the newly established zine collection held in the Library. For more information about our recent zine events and our zine collection please contact us.
The event is taking place in the Stuart Hall Library Thursday 27th January 2011.
