Yuneikys Villalonga is an independent curator and art critic based in Havana. A graduate from the University of Havana (Art History, 2000), she completed her studies in various European museums and cultural institutions (Aachen, Basel, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Paris, Helsinki, Cologne). She was Associate Professor at the Instituto Superior de Arte, Havana (2000-04), and served as curator at the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba, Havana (2000-03).

Villalonga won the National Prize of Curatorship from the Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC) in 2004 for Së Bashku – Juntos – Tillsammans, a travelling exhibition presented in the Tirana Biennial, Albania, 2003, and the Uppsala Museum, Sweden, 2004. The Cuban and international art exhibitions she has curated include New Crop Havana, 2003, co-curated with Adolfo Nodal and Tammy Singer, Absolut LA International, Los Angeles; Utilitarian Dreams, 2005, Brighton Film Festival, England; Flight/Vuelo, 2005, co-curated with Nicola Atkinson Davidson, Glasgow International; Waiting List, 2006, co-curated with Elvis Fuentes and Glexis Novoa, Mestna Galerija, Ljubljana; and Killing Time, 2007, co-curated with Elvis Fuentes and Glexis Novoa, Exit Art, New York.

She lives and works in La Habana, Cuba.
