Vicky Charnock studied History of Art and Museum and Art Gallery Studies at the University of Manchester.

Vicky Charnock has been Community Programmes Curator at Tate Liverpool since November 2000, specialising in developing gallery programmes for socially excluded communities, and professional development training courses for staff within the caring and health sectors. She is also a member of the curatorial programming team at Tate Liverpool. She is the North West Council representative for engage, National Association for Gallery Education and regularly speaks on gallery education issues at conferences and seminars in the UK and abroad.

She was previously Gallery Officer at the Turnpike Gallery, Leigh, Gallery Education Officer at Cornerhouse, Manchester, and Galleries Officer for Huyton and Kirby Galleries in Knowsley.
