Jian Jun Xi

Jian Jun Xi grew up in China during Mao's cultural revolution. He lives now in London where he had studied art in the mid-1980s. Xi's training was traditional - drawing, painting and sculpture - but his 'artistic interventions' in museums and gallery spaces have demonstrated his keen desire to break away from creative and commercial restraints, to fuel artistic debate and to "celebrate the spirit of modern art."
