Theresa Rahman

A visual artist, film maker and writer, currently producing work around perceptions of identity: a series of oil, organic and mixed media paintings critically questioning notions of the self and a short film about her Bangladeshi-Japanese-British cultural roots.

Her previous visual art work observed dualities in ethical perceptions, transitions from conventional to ecological perspectives, meditations on relationships and expressions of experiencing non-consensual realities.  Her written work has involved interviewing contemporary dancers and following their creative processes, interviewing disabled artists and activists, and writing scripts for an experimental website on ‘psychosis'.
