Eugene Palmer

Eugene Palmer studied at Sutton Coldfield, Wimbledon and at Goldsmiths College in London. His practice is a continuous examination of modes of representation related to cultural history and cultural identity. Palmer's focus is the construction of identity in traditional portraiture. He seeks to disturb its conventions by using archival records, photographs, and contemporary media imagery as basis for his paintings. He lives and works in London.
