Olu Oguibe

Oguibe earned a degree in Fine and Applied Arts in 1986 from the University of Nigeria. He completed his PhD in Contemporary and African art at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London in 1992. His thesis was published as Uzo Egonu: An African Artist in the West, (Kala Press). Oguibe works as an international curator and as a consultant on contemporary art. His art historical and critical texts have been published in seminal anthologies such as Reading the Contemporary: African Art from Theory to the Marketplace, (MIT Press and inIVA) and The Culture Game, (University of Minnesota Press).
