Hamid Naficy

Hamid Nacify received in 1968 a BA, in 1971 a M.F.A. and in 1990 a Ph.D. at the University of Southern California-Los Angeles. His research interests are Diaspora and exile cultures and cinema, Iranian cinema and culture, Third World cinemas, Middle Eastern cinemas, and ethnic television.

He is Chair of the Department of Art & Art History, and Professor of Film & Media Studies at Rice University.
