Henna Nadeem was born in Leeds in 1966. She graduated with an MA from the Royal College of Art, London in 1993.
Nadeem's complex photographic collages superimpose decorative pattterns inspired by Islamic, Japanese and Morrish sources, onto a wide range of found landscape images from tourist shots of African to chocolate box depictions of 1950s England. This intergration of disparate visual references cretes new cultural readings.
