Nancy Burson and David Kramlich

In her own words, Nancy Burson has 'for the past 25 years, shown viewers the unseen, and /or asked them to shift their vision.' She started as a painter, but in the late 80s, she began to use photography to explore the notion of deformity and the question of how beauty is defined in our society. In collaboration with David Kramlich she now works exclusively with computer technology to create portraits that emphasise commonality of people rather than their differences or separateness.
