Evelyne Jouanno
Statement
Evelyne Jouanno is a Paris-based art critic and independent curator. She had been a teacher on cross-cultural issues at the University Paris VIII.
Beside articles for catalogues and magazines including Flash Art International, Third Text, Make, Atlantica, etc., she was also a co-curator of Open House (Casino Luxembourg, 2002), Paris pour Escale (Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, 2000) and the guest curator of the Projectroom at the Kunsthalle Bern (Switzerland) from July 2000 to March 2002 (8 shows untitled Sous la Terre, il y a le Ciel with Shen Yuan, Marco Brambilla, Nebojsa Seric-Soba, Han Myung-Ok, Adel Abdessemed, Sislej Xhafa, Ruth Barabash, Cambalache Collective).
Her first book, on Huang Yong Ping's work and thought, will be published shortly (Ed. Timezone8 Limited).
