Joy Gregory
Biography
Joy Gregory was born in Bicester, England. Gregory attended the Buckinghamshire College of Higher Education, Manchester Polytechnic where she received a BA in Communication Art & Design in 1984, and the Royal College of Art where she earned a Masters in Photography in 1986. Gregory's work has proved to be extremely versatile; her photographs that explore ideas of truth, beauty, and race and gender politics have been used in magazines, and are also collected by museums.
Since 1983, her work has been exhibited in France, Australia, Turkey, Brazil, Chile, South Africa, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, and throughout the UK.
In addition to being and artist and photographer, Gregory actively teaches and lectures. Joy Gregory currently lives and works in South London.
