Yara El-Sherbini

Yara El-Sherbini has a playful, multi disciplinary approach to art-making, exploring ideas of what art is and can be through her use of humour and popular culture. Using jokes, questions and visual puns to create playfully contentious works, her work aims to disarm the viewer, engaging them with the socio-political ideas at the heart of her work.

Since 2007 Yara has been hosting pub quizzes to playfully explore art and life.
