Eduardo Padilha: Dark Habits (work in progress)

Eduardo Padilha's installation 'Dark Habits (work in progress)' resulting from his one month residency at inIVA, was shown at TheSpace@inIVA from 22 June - 7 July 2000. The installation combined seemingly incongruous elements such as Jacquard fabric, giant hares and suspended thermos flasks. The included video work using found super-8 film footage was developed during the residency, re-interpreting and manipulating memories, often with disorientating and eerie effect. Another part of the installation formed a collection of press coverage of Brazil's 500-year anniversary.
